Bits and bobs

In the last few days I've had my last lot of injections for Everest (and been left with a massive bruise ouch!) and got my malaria tablets and had my cholera drink (ew!) and I've had my hair dyed a 'natural colour' bye blonde :( for the Disney Look....

I had to go to London two days in a row to get my Nepal visa sorted and let me tell you it was as opposite to the American Embassy as you can imagine!! It was in a basement room that looked like a toilet and you could take whatever you wanted in with you and just had to hand over a form and some cash (for which they had no change...so take the right change!) then I had to return to collect it in 24 hours. There were definitely no men with guns. Compare my visa with the American one in my previous post...
Slightly more low-budget! But anyway that's another thing sorted. Also, the universe thought it'd be fun to add to my massive stress levels by letting the ATM at Liverpool street eat my card the minute I got into London, NOT fun! Luckily I cancelled it and HSBC has already sent me out a new one, thank god for fast service!
While I was in London I also picked up a few new coke bottles for my collection :p one for Father's day too!

While I was in London I thought it'd be fun to see a show so I took the boyfriend to see We Will Rock You, I think its my fourth or fifth time although the last time was probably 6 years ago... and I still think its awesome! Love Queen!
I have now got some funky climbing boots for Everest but I am yet to wear them in.... and I bought a keyboard for my ipad mini but the buttons are so small I cant type, and that's saying something as my fingers are really thin! So that's gonna be sent back! Also I got a camera for Disney, a nice looking Samsung one, a slightly smaller Galaxy-type one, but I haven't worked out how to use it yet!

I have picked up my dollars now at the Post office and I've opted for their travel money Plus card to take with me, the rates sound good and it can be topped up by the parents from home (always a bonus!)

I also may have accidently found out where the Hub says I am working in Disney...as a certain somebody I've been talking to sneakily looked it up and told me it was good! So although I didn't want to know, knowing she knew was killing me so I had to ask! However people say this changes so i'll let you know whether the Hub was right when I find out for sure!!

Only a few days now...must get packing!!

xx

Thanks to some amazing people I not only managed to reach my target before anyone else in my group, I also got a lil bit over! Over Easter I even got a letter from Childreach congratulating me on being one of the TOP 30 fundraisers in the country! Which is pretty cool.

So with the fundraising done, I have the fun part of getting all the jabs I need, I've had two outta 3 now, rabies and Hep B, and when I go for my final jabs I also have to pick up malaria tablets...scary!
Finally, I managed to get one last UEA hoody before I leave (having already gotten ones for Snow, Cheer, Maths and Pole) Everest 2013 Baby!!

In April, I finally handed in my maths version of a dissertation, my MMATH project; Quantum Fluids, woop!
aaaaand as of Tuesday, 14th May, I had my last exam and COMPLETED MY MASTERS DEGREE :D It happened that my lil sis was in the same room as me for her final exam and she left early so she finished her degree before me...damn!

So I have a few weeks left until D-Day (Disney day!!!!) and I just need to buy a few more bits and pieces and pack....and hit the gym!
