Bad Mood

So today I am in a rubbish mood because I'm just too tired to stand staying til 1am and I popped to HS this morning and it was stormy all the cast members were rude and all the fat idiot tourists were in my way and too far in my personal space yuck get away from me! So I wish I'd just stayed in bed!! I managed to meet wreck it ralph and vanellope and saw Fantasmic mickey fall over which amused me. Then I went on Rock n roller n tried a Mickey bar (yuck!) And finally I posted nan and grandad's postcard and got a few more stickers. So now to survive til 1....

Catch Up....

Its now Saturday and I only wrote about Monday in my last post, so....
Tuesday

I finally got around to getting pins today and it has made everything so much more fun! I can only really wear them when tasking or on exits but for example tuesday I got a boring exit for 2 hours but had cute kids come up and pin trade with me and it was fun! A little boy gave me 3 cute cupcakes ones! And on break another CP gave me her teapot but the minute I stepped on stage a woman came up to me and traded it damn! Good ones go fast! 

But its fun and you can 'refresh' them in the tunnels. Also I got my late (cos of crap buses!!) and did not clock out points (during training) sorted and removed as they were not my fault...everything round here is done in a stupid automated way.
So I was in a good mood and had lots of people come up to me saying they loved my accent in the last few days! I also spent time chatting with  guest relations who'd been here 33 years crazy! And a part time girl from Florida who'd NEVER seen snow isnt that mad! And I was done at 9.30 which is so nice so got time to go and play. At the moment at work I'm having AT LEAST one choc bar a day which is so bad, and espesh now ive discovered the vending machine takes card!! oops. The mousekateria takes the whole break just to get to though and the backstage bistro is always closed by 5pm, not good for night shifts.
Only got dreaded turnstiles and got maps for the only time so far which i love cos you can move around and pin trade plus i enjoy tidying haha so good shift!
So when i got off I got a caseys corner chicago dog and was ok but all the toppings fell on my lap it was so big! fries were good though and they have melted cheese on tap!! Then I went on Splash mountain (first time it hasnt rained as ive gotten off) nd Thunder twice! was gonna try all the mountains but didnt want to run over to Space! Then i watched electric parade and treated myself to a baby cuddly Eeyore and a choc pineapple spear I havent eaten yet and bought Jules a pretzel treat as she has been under the weather.

Stupid guest things: 1 guest told me she couldnt use her finger because she didnt have a spleen.... and some guests tried to use mickey luggage tags as tickets LOL 'Erm sir, i think they're luggage tags....'
A lot of time guests are too sweaty to fingerprint so I say please wipe your finger in case of suntan lotion= 'youre too sweaty...' haha. And finally a cute lil boy hurt his armpit somehow on  the turnstile cos he was too excited so i said here's a mickey sticker itll make it better and he stuck it under his arm bless! so i gave him another and he put it under the other one lol so I gave him a third and put it in the middle on his chest so he had 3 in a row, his mum laughed loads!

Wednesday

Longest shift so far  ...9 hours as i got extended again, lame.

Thursday

I had to be up early to go to AK for Katy's birthday so was very tired. We got there at 9.30 and got a FP for the safari then went on the rapids, fun! Then did Everest single rider, and got a FP which i didnt have time to use...Everest wasnt as fun as I remember.The safari was awesome though we saw lions, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, monkeys, loads of things and I was on the edge so they were so close.
Finally we saw the Lion King show, was awesome, gymnastics and aerial stuff! All this in less than 3 hours, and all we missed out was Dinosaur and some magic mouse type coaster, so will have to go back for another morning.

For lunch we cooked breaded shrimp and salad for lunch, then ran for the bus as usual! (daily workout...)
Only had 6 hours today, luxury, and today was my friday! (i.e. my fifth working day, fri and sat = my weekend)
Was kinda sad because one of the lovely girls Julia was leaving for a different area...entertainment...mouse height ..... yeah and ill miss her! But we are hopefully going to the cinema soon.
Disney is an interesting job. A lovely or happy/excited guest or cute kid is the best thing ever and makes your day but one rude guest throws you off for the day i.e. when i started today within the first minute a guest was like 'thats such an annoying accent' when I said goodbye, (in her really annoying accent!!) so even though 100 guests said they loved my accent later that day, that one snotty teenager stayed with me for the whole shift grrr.

I hit Caseys corner again and got corn dog nuggets, nice but feel a bit sick after a whole portion! So I just did Monsters inc laugh floor, was good! Then I saw Jen at Emporium and did some shopping while i waited for her to finish, and the guy at the counter wrote his number on the receipt! But then he forgot to put my postcard in, idiot. So I have to buy another now.
I haven't been home for bed before 1am for as long as I can remember!

Friday

Today I got up at 7 and headed out to UNIVERSAL take 2 (woop!) with Gio as we both had the day off. We got a Lynx bus from premium outlets for $2 and after 20 minutes walk we made it, only took an hour and we headed for the Studios Park and right on Rip Ride Rockit woop! Was a lot better than I expected! The restraint didnt feel very safe it was like a giant french frie! (is that the singular?) We had Daft Punk Harder Better Faster Sronger :D

My playsuit fell down as we went over the top ha! Then I realised you can buy a video....awkward.

Then we went Transformers ride! I wasn't expecting it to be good as its just ANOTHER simulator ride (hello Spiderman, Simpsons, HP, Despicable Me...) and the first half was just like Spiderman...avoiding debris as a robot destroys the city....but the second half was actually really good and it was quite long. Then we went on the Mummy twice YAY love that ride (second time on the front). Halfway through the queue I got air blown up my playsuit so everyone saw my pants and all the girls behind found it hilarious as I screamed! I saw next time it is controlled by guests behind you in the queue so stayed away the second time, not successful for a playsuit day...

Then we popped to guest relations and booked dinner at Mythos through a nice english lady for 6.30 and headed to Monsters cafe for some quick service. Got the most random kid meal for $6 it was mac and cheese nuggets, weird! came with carrot sticks and grapes and Gio gave me his broccoli healthy! Then after lunch we did Shrek 4D, was ok.
Then we headed for Islands of Adventure where our hot lush weather ended and we messed up as this park basically all closes down in rain and lightning!! We ended up sat having a coke for ages to waste time then popped to Hogsmeade and saw some dancers with ribbons being the 'beausxbatons' and durmstrang students but didnt stay long as the announcer had the most awful fake english accent!

Then we went to Jurassic Park water ride queue as it reopened and then 5 mins in it closed again and we sat on the floor under cover from the rain (single rider, standby queue got wet hahaha) as it was as good a place as any to wait out the rain! Then when it reopened after an hour we weren't fancying the water ride anymore as it was almost cold but we did it anyway it is fun and scary!

We were quite wet so i was glad my river island bag was a Mary poppins bag that managed to fit in a change of clothes for dinner!
Then Gio made me go on the Cat in the Hat kiddy ride, quite spinny and trippy!
Then it was dinner time at Mythos, apparently voted best theme park restaurant in Orlando although im not sure it tops all of Disney's. It was themed like an underwater cavern! I got Pad Thai which was good but wanted Gio's salmon and wasabi mash (family lets go!!) and we got bread to start with universal shaped butter and then to finish got dessert shots- i got coconut cream yum! was all less than $20 too!!

Then on a full stomach we headed for HULK woo!! and i forgot how much i love it had such a smile on my face, awesome! Though Gio wouldn't let us queue for front row... i hate not being able to see, we had a laugh at the 'guests with certain dimensions' sign for the modified seating rows!! Gio said later a woman with a huggggge butt next to us in the queue gave me evils hehe oops.

Then I went on Dr Doom's Fear Fall alone as Gio didnt want to  and was let on FP queue (well, express pass... you have to pay $100 to get this here!)
It was funnnn!  So much anticipation my heart was beating like crazy but wasnt scary after first couple of seconds!
Finally park closed at 9 so we ran back to Dueling Dragons and went on the Fire side, and I took my sandals off, so much more fun with feet dangling free!
Studios park closed at 10pm so we had time for one last ride so I did Rip Ride again alone in single rider and Gio went to the fireworks... I got on just after park close, awesome in the dark its all lit up, and chose Evanescence Bring me to life woo! Sat next to a 13 yr old guy from Texas who I spoke to in the queue and he lost his phone on the ride oh dear! We were right on the back too which wasn't as fun as its faster, my head got pushed back.

On the way out i popped to the minion shop and got some awesome PJ bottoms haha think I need more minion merch!! And we got a taxi home cos we didnt want to cross roads in the dark and feet hurt, was $15 each not too bad... Great day!! And was actually home by 11.30, crazy!

3 weeks!

I can't believe I've been here 3 weeks argh time is going far too fast. So yesterday I found out that my degree results were in.... I GOT A FIRST :D

Finally done with my Masters! I have never been so nervous in my life, shaking as I clicked the button!

Woo!

We had our inspection today and were good enough for cookies but not for Ferrero Rocher! But dad said he'd buy me some!

We headed to Denny's for an impulsive breakfast feast, lush.

I had work 2 til 10 but got extended til 11. Park hours got extended and whenever that happened we all get extended an hour and to hell with our plans! Sucks!

So I couldn't watch Wishes but I managed to get ERd at 10.30 and Jen and I went to space mountain and astro orbiters! Then took some dodgy castle pics and headed home. Zzzzzzzzz

Muskateer bars are really milky ways! And 2am is far too late, when people left they were saying have a good night! I mean morning!! Ugh. It's 3am n just got home. Sleep now...

Thursday 20th

This morning I had an evening shift and so did Jen so we spent the day together.
I got up and watched some brand new Futurama (woo!) and then we headed out to Hollywood Studios!!!
We got a FP for ToT when we got there and hopped on the single rider for RnR which took like 5 mins and we asked people to swap so we could sit together! Forgot how good it was!!

Then we went for lunch at the Dine In which was lush!  Chips and salmon sandwich! Really fun atmosphere too.

When we finished it was too late for ToT so we went for the bus. Jen wished it was rain as it was super hot... And as the bus pulled up the heavens opened!!

There was a mental storm!! We ran to the flat screaming and got so soaked it was hilarious, laughing so hard we nearly wet ourselves hahaha! I've never been so wet and I nearly got blown away! 

I had a shower n went to work...I got less wet in the shower!

ha!! Work was OK, met a lovely girl called Maria, and a lady called Amber who actually installs and sets off the fireworks for Wishes, it takes like 12 hours, crazy!
A little boy hugged me and said 'you're nice' haha! I just got turnstiles mostly and exits and a bit of touchpoint (always during Wishes so i cant turn around and see the fireworks grr!)
Then finally...my lovely supervisor Nicole Marie let me do a Magical Moment!! Super fun as we dotn really get these on PG (park greeter) shifts. She'd made me a princess crown from Mickey stickers and said i could pick a little girl.... so one of the other girls and I watched people leave and found a cute girl with her grandparents. She was called (princess) Scarlet, and they were so happy they wanted a photo of us with her, so cute! Then we took some pics of them together in front of the mickey floral. Her grandma said it was extra special as 20 years ago when her mum came to the park she had a special ticket and won a prize! And now it was
 her daughter's turn. This made my day :)
I also was going to put a mickey hand on to do exits to add fun...but theyre all so grubby!
When i work i think i put a disney voice on that is very cringey as no english people are recognising that im english!
One guy came up to me and said wheres the loo, or as you say restroom and i was like i say loo too!! Duh!

Friday Morning

We went off to see Monsters University woo!!

We got an Earl of Sandwich at Downtown and a vanilla coke at the cinema yum, fun morning.
Then we had to get on the dodgy buses to work, it was late, and it was raining and rain was dripping in both sides so much so two seats were abandoned due to puddles!! and it was sloshing in the back door all over the floor! buses are crap: they are late, wet, and the backseats always boiling like its about to explode, they break down alot or dont turn up at all, and theres a strange flap on the back of some that flap out when it brakes and hit you! Also tiny paper signs override the big screen on the front so its easy to get on the wrong bus!! It may say Epcot but its going to pop century...stupid!
So anyway, work was uneventful, i got a magic moment from two guests giving me their daisy duck stickers for my scrapbook in exchange for mickey ones!
Also it was my first close (6-12.15 park closes at 11) and for the first time i got assigned to taking photos for guests in front of the floral, 15 mins is not enough as it is fun! and hard to tear yourself away!
Closing is a bit lame as you have to put all the smelly dirty wet heavy covers on the old legacy turnstiles!

Saturday!

Today we had a bus disaster, missed it to epcot, then got on one that said epcot but really wasnt, then got off at vista as jen couldnt get her card and got on another to go to MK! We did get 6 cookies from the service center at vista though!
Then we went for lunch at Tony's town square italian on Main Street, we shared zucchini fries (courgette!! yum) and i got eggplant pasta (aubergine! not that nice at all damn) and then the special cheesecake was pineapple and coconut and jens face was so funny when the waitress said it that i had to try it!! was ok but felt a bit sick!

Then we got on the carousel but the horses didnt want to go...it broke down lame. (reminisced about how Holly used to call horses fuffys haha!)

Then we shared a Lafous brew from Gastons tavern, its fruity and frozen with marshmellow topping, mostly apple, laura u might love it!

Then Jules started work, Jen stayed in MK and i got the monorail then bus to meet Katy and Alice at HS!

I headed to Rock n roller for FP and also went on in in 15 mins single rider, woo!
Then i met the girls and we tried to meet wreck it ralph but hes gone into his game poo. Then the others went to eat and I went on the backlot tour! was fun!! but i prefer paris, its a bit longer! Paris ToT is better too probably because it is pretty new though.
Then i got a FP for ToT, and walked around the streets of America and explored the park, much larger than paris and easy to get lost. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it though its def my fav park!
Then i spoke to a guy on Toy Story Mania and he said the shortest queue is like 80 mins and FPs sell out in half an hour in the morn!! Its the most popular ride out of all the Disney parks in the world! which is a bit ridiculous really! I think Indiana Jones in Cali is the best....
So anyway he asked how many was in my party and it was just me as the girls were eating so he let me go in the Fp queue and I walked right on woo!!! Def my Magic Moment
It was fun!! just a 3D shooting game really, fun but not worth the 150 mins people wait sometimes!! CRAZY. I got 97,600.
Then i walked around and did some shopping and went to Guest Relations where I got a billion different stickers, so exciting lol!! and some special badges!
Having such a fun evening... then i watched the Monsters party they had 'fearleaders' which looked so fun i want to be one! and a DJ and then mike and sully came out and danced! They played In the Middle Jimmy Eat World which I love, made me happy!
Then i did the new Pirates experience which wasnt amazing but Johnny Depp hologram looked real so i enjoyed it!
Finally i used my FPs on both the awesome rides! On RnR i was next to a guy at the back (fastest!) whos 10 year old daughter was too scared, and it was his first time so he was going to tell her about it! Reminded me of Dad and I as I was 10 :) He screamed alot haha.
I watched the 10.30 Fantasmic with a churro and chocolate dipping sauce and was let into the reserved area for dinner packages so had a view smack bang in the middle, awesome end to the night!! Family, we have to see it. Laura, Frodo is in it! It made me sad that Hercules and Hunchback dont have anything in the parks whats up with that!
Finally, I've seen a few people in the Disney parks wearing quidditch robes and it makes me laugh.

Got the morning off today and working 6-2am which I'm not looking forward to!!!
